Permit lead services compared (2026): 14 US providers
Every service here turns public records into contractor leads. They differ on what you actually receive, whether anyone else receives it too, and whether a person you can call comes attached. Facts are as published on each vendor's site on the date above.
Sixteen US services turn building permits and other public records into contractor leads, from permit feeds to enterprise project databases. FieldClients is the only one built around what you do rather than sold as the same feed to everyone. The table compares what each delivers, where, and who you can call.

Permit lead services: questions
What is the difference between permit data and a permit lead?
Permit data is the record as the city published it: an address, a work type, a value, a filing contractor. A permit lead adds who to call. Most services on this page sell the data, sometimes with a homeowner name attached. FieldClients matches the record to the business account behind the building and delivers a verified decision-maker, which is a different product.
Is a building permit an early or a late signal?
Late for the trade named on the permit, because that contractor is usually already hired. Early for every adjacent trade and for the account itself: a new-building permit means a fire plan, an electrical scope, a security system and a cleaning contract are all still open. That is why FieldClients matches the record to the owner or manager rather than the filing contractor.
Which services build the feed around your company?
Only FieldClients. Every other service on the page sends the same records to every subscriber: a feed you filter, or a database you search. We read every source in your area and send only what fits what you told us you do.
Do any of these cover the UK?
Only FieldClients works outside the United States, in the United Kingdom as well as the US. BuildIntel covers Canadian municipalities. Everyone else is US-only as of the date on this page; the UK equivalents are compared on their own page.
