Public tender leads: Contracts Finder and Find a Tender for field service contracts

Every public body in the UK must publish its contract opportunities above a threshold: on Contracts Finder for England and on Find a Tender for higher-value notices across the UK. The notice names the buyer, the lot, the value and the deadline. Reading it the day it appears is most of the advantage.

In short

Contracts Finder and Find a Tender publish every public contract above a threshold, with the buyer, the lot, the value and the deadline. We read both daily and send you the notices with a lot in your trade, with the named contact, the day they appear.

  • Open data with an API, published daily
  • Fields: buyer, lot, value, deadline, named contact
  • Security, cleaning, fire, heating, electrical and works lots
  • FieldClients reads this record in your area every day and sends the leads: $800 to $2,000 a month by area size

What the record is

Public procurement rules require public bodies to advertise contract opportunities above set thresholds. Contracts Finder carries notices from central government, councils, NHS bodies and other public buyers in England from a low threshold; Find a Tender carries the higher-value notices across the UK. Both publish the buyer, a description, the lot structure, the estimated value, the procedure, the deadline and a named contact.

Housing associations, universities and NHS trusts are the buyers that matter most for field service trades: guarding and CCTV monitoring, contract cleaning, fire alarm and fire door programmes, heating maintenance, EICR programmes, roofing and planned works. Many are frameworks, where being on the list is worth years of call-offs.

The notice is the lead; the work is in the timing and the fit. A tender read on the day it appears leaves the full clarification window; one read a week later does not. We filter by lot, region and value, and deliver the named contact and the deadline.

Where it is published

  • Contracts Finder. Notices from public buyers in England above a low threshold, with a JSON API and OCDS data.
  • Find a Tender. Higher-value notices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, replacing the EU journal.
  • Public Contracts Scotland and Sell2Wales. National portals for lower-value notices in Scotland and Wales.

Timing: when to reach out

The day the notice is published. Clarification windows are short and the deadline is fixed, so a notice read on day one is a bid and a notice read on day ten is often not. Framework notices are worth more than a single contract: a place on the list means years of call-offs.

What FieldClients does with this record. We read the source daily, match each new record to the account behind it (the applicant, occupier or public body), find and verify the decision-maker, and send it to you if it fits what you told us you do. You get the account, the dated record, the reason and a verified decision-maker email. Company phone where listed.

Public tender leads: questions

Are public tenders free to see?

Yes. Contracts Finder and Find a Tender are open government services with an API. The value is not access but timing and fit: reading the right lot on the day it appears, with the named contact and the deadline, without scanning every notice in the country.

Do I need to be on a framework to win public work?

Often. Many public buyers procure through frameworks and call off from them, so the framework notice is the one to watch. We flag frameworks in your trade and region separately from single contracts.

Is this a separate product?

No. Public tenders run alongside the planning register, demolition notices and Companies House on every UK plan. The four sources are wired up in your first week.
